The aim of this project is to understand Leptospira prevalence in Hawaiʻi's feral swine population. For more information click on the 'Research' tab. Paramyxos in the Pacific
The aim of this project is to understand pathogenic viruses in Pacific flying foxes. The project has started in American Samoa and will expand to other US territories and Pacific islands. We are working with territorial government agencies and report findings to federal and local officials.

The group is experienced in leveraging genomics, diagnostics, vaccinology, molecular biosciences, and microbiology to solve pressing public health challenges. These include outbreak identification and characterization, vaccine development, and disease bio-surveillance.
